MAN of the match Tommy Walsh revealed that the support of teammates had helped restore his shattered confidence after his dismissal against Clare in Croke Park last week.

“I was very down last Sunday evening and again on Monday. Then, I got a few text messages from a few of the lads,” he said.

“They probably did not think it was much, but it meant an awful lot to me. It showed the spirit that is in this team.”
