Allen has work to do to get Cork in championship shape

JOHN ALLEN has concerns about the form of All-Ireland champions Cork ahead of their Munster SHC opener against holders Waterford on May 22.

Allen, almost certain to be without defender Wayne Sherlock and utility forward Timmy McCarthy, admits that his side need to lift their standards.
