DUFFRY Rovers have lodged an appeal to the Leinster Council against the fine and two of the suspensions they received from the Wexford County Board after the ill-tempered SFC semi-final clash with Horeswood.

The Duffry Rovers club was fined €2500 as a result of unsavoury incidents at the end of the game which included an assault on referee John Denton.

Two players, Tomas Kavanagh, who received a 96 week ban, and JJ Doyle, a 24 week ban, have also appealed their suspensions to the council.
