A former garda has been jailed for theft after he pleaded guilty to obtaining over €50,000 by telling people his wife had cancer and needed treatment in the US.

DUFFRY Rovers have lodged an appeal to the Leinster Council against the fine and two of the suspensions they received from the Wexford County Board after the ill-tempered SFC semi-final clash with Horeswood.
