Kearns returns for Galway’s quarter-final clash with Tipp

Kearns, who came on as a substitute during the course of Galway’s victorious qualifier against Limerick, is retained at right half-forward, while both corner-back Chris Coen, and full-forward Kevin Hayes have been dropped and there is also no place for the controversial Eugene Cloonan.

Ollie Canning now takes over Coen’s left corner-back position with Derek Hardiman switching from centre-back to right half-back. Tony Og O’Regan takes over at centre-back with Fergal Healy and Damien Tierney forming a new midfield partnership.
