Sport gets extra €7m from Government out of Budget ‘24

ALMOST €7.3m in extra funding has been awarded to Irish Sport from the Government’s Budget 2024, with €134m going to the Arts and €6m to Media.

An announcement by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media saw a €2m increase of funding to Women’s Sport, with an additional €1m going to high performance funding – coming ahead of next summer’s Paris Olympics.
