Victor Osimhen set to join Galatasaray on loan until the end of the season
DUE EAST: Victor Osimhen, who's likely to join Galataaray, reacts during the Serie A match between AS Roma and Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico.
Victor Osimhen is set join Galatasaray on loan for the rest of the season, according to reports in Italy.
The striker is out of favour at Napoli after deadline day negotiations with Saudi side Al-Ahli and free-spending Chelsea failed to conclude with an agreement.
New recruit Romelu Lukaku, who was brought in at the end of the transfer window period, came off the bench to score and inspire Napoli to a 2-1 comeback win over Parma on Sunday night.
“Reinstatements? This is the squad,” Conte said when asked about Osimhen potentially returning to the squad.
“I talked about cohesion. Cohesion is the basis of respecting the rules, those who don’t respect them are not part of the group.
“Hats off to the club, the president has shown coherence in the face of a significant economic loss."
The deadline has now passed in Italy but Turkey's window remains open until September 13.
Gala will likely have to share a large portion of the striker's €10m salary.
Former Inter Milan forward Mauro Icadi will be paired with Osimhen at the Turkish side, once he returns from injury.
