Incredible in-car video shows record attempt go badly wrong

Warning: not for the faint-hearted

A video has been released showing amazing footage of an attempt to beat the world record for the longest ramp car jump.

French rally driver and professional skier Geurlain Chicherit was attempting a 360-foot jump in a modified MINI Countryman rally car.

The full video shows the preparations in the French mountains. The warm-up jumps are successful and everything seems set for the record attempt.

But watch from 7.05 - the final jump doesn’t go as planned. We see it all, from inside the car.

We can’t decide if Chicherit is incredibly brave, or just plain crazy.
