Basketballer wins series with less than a second left

You can’t beat a good buzzer-beater!

Damian Lillard was the hero for the Portland Trail Blazers as his huge 3-pointer helped them to a 4-2 Round 1 Playoff series win over the Houston Rockets.

Houston led the game 98-96 and would have been thinking they had secured a deciding game seven when Portland took a very late time out.

With an amazing 0.9 of a second on the watch they ran the play designed to get the ball to Lillard and he delivered the magic draining it from a couple of feet outside the 3-point mark.

As you can imagine the commentators lost all control and there were some wild celebrations!

Portland now advance to the Western Conference semi-final and await the winner of the Texas derby series between the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks which is tied at 3-3.
