Ireland's Reynolds struggles through race walk in Moscow

Laura Reynolds, the only Irish athlete in World Championship action today, endured a tough time in the 20km race walk.
In hot and humid conditions, the Mohill AC athlete struggled and could only finish 31st of 62 in Moscow.
Reynolds moved up a couple of positions in the second half of the race, but could only finish in a time of one hour 33 minutes and 39 seconds.
âIâm very disappointed with that,â she said.
â31st place explains it all, wasnât a good place wasnât a good time, I donât have an explanation for it.
âMy last race in Kazan at World students I finished sixth, I was happy with finishing sixth.
âI wouldnât have come here if I didnât recover, I just canât explain why it went wrong. Iâll have to review this with my coach and see were to go.â
