Medal holders from the Irish Transplant team have been invited to attend a special ceremony at Croke Park in Dublin later today.

In recognition of the 24 athletes performance at the 19th World Transplant Games in South Africa, team Ireland has been invited by the GAA to showcase their achievements at Croke Park this Sunday.

The Irish team picked up 34 medals in total - 12 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze - leaving them 14th on the medal table.

"The GAA have very kindly offered to parade the Irish team that competed at the recent World Transplant Games at half-time during the Dublin-Cork match," said Colin White, Team Manager

"It's just an opportunity for people to see the success of organ donation and transplantation and applaud the achievements of these individuals."
