Transplant Team Ireland has flown back into Dublin Airport after an unforgettable week at the World Transplant Games in the UK.

It’s not just about winning for Mike Keohane, from Rosscarbery, Co Cork, who won a gold and two silver medals at the weekend at the British Transplant Games.

Medal holders from the Irish Transplant team have been invited to attend a special ceremony at Croke Park in Dublin later today.

The Irish Kidney Association said they hope the success of the Irish Transplant Team will encourage people to get an organ donation card.
