Irish swimmer Barry Murphy this morning qualified for the 50m breaststroke semi-finals at the World Championships in Barcelona.

The 27-year-old Dubliner completed his heat in a seasons-best time of 27.52, coming sixth in the heat to qualify in 13th place.
