Ireland's Murphy through to breaststroke semis in Barcelona

Irish swimmer Barry Murphy this morning qualified for the 50m breaststroke semi-finals at the World Championships in Barcelona.

The 27-year-old Dubliner completed his heat in a seasons-best time of 27.52, coming sixth in the heat to qualify in 13th place.

The top eight times from this evening’s semi-final - live on Eurosport at 5.18pm - will progress to the final, which takes place tomorrow.
