FIA want answers over secret testing by Mercedes

The FIA has announced that Mercedes and Pirelli have a case to answer over a tyre-testing session carried out at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya last month.

Mercedes were at the centre of uproar over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend after it emerged they used their 2013 car to assist Pirelli in a 1,000-kilometre test of next year’s tyres in Barcelona in mid-May.
