Derval O'Rourke has admitted that she is unlikely to compete in another Olympics after she missed-out on a place in the 100 metres hurdles final.

The 31-year-old Cork athlete finished in fifth place in the second of this evening's semi-finals.

O'Rourke's time of 12.91seconds was the same as the time that she run in yesterday's heat and matched her seasonal best.

But she trailed home well behind Australia's Sally Pearson, who confirmed her status as the gold medal favourite with the fastest time from the semi-finals.
