Around 10,000 tweets a second sent during Super Bowl
Sunday night's Super Bowl has set new records on Twitter.
The American football final saw the most tweets ever sent during a sporting event, with an average of 10,000 posts per second.
That rose to more than 12,000 a second in the wake of the New York Giants' last-minute touchdown.
British singer M.I.A. became the most-googled subject yesterday, following her controversial appearance during the half-time show.
