IAAF reveal failed Daegu drug tests

The IAAF confirmed today that Portuguese steeplechaser Sara Moreira and South Korean sprinter Lim Hee-nam failed drugs tests during the World Championships in Daegu.

Both athletes tested positive for prohibited stimulant methylhexaneamine - findings confirmed by B sample analysis – and have been provisionally suspended pending the outcome of their respective disciplinary hearings, in accordance with IAAF Rules.

Moreira finished 12th in the women’s 3,000-metre steeplechase. Lim ran on South Korea’s 4x100m relay team, who finished fifth in their heat.
