Haye: I had to go through with Klitschko fight

Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye insists pulling out of July’s defeat by Wladimir Klitschko due to his now-infamous toe injury was “never an option”.

Haye officially retired on his 31st birthday this month despite ending on a low note following his high-profile heavyweight unification loss against IBF/WBO champion Klitschko in Germany.
