Special Olympics: 18 medals for Team Ireland

Team Ireland were in jubilant form having staked their claim on 18 medals on day three of the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens.

The day got off to a flying start with Deirdre Gannon from Westport, Co Mayo and Mary Quigley from Tullow, Co Carlow winning silver in the Women’s doubles bowling event.
