Change in F1 points system proposed

The Formula One Commission has agreed a further revision to the points system ahead of the new season they hope will encourage a 'race-to-win' attitude.

Two months ago the F1 Commission, comprising key stakeholders from teams, promoters, suppliers and sponsors, and chaired by president Bernie Ecclestone, initially opted for a 25-20-15-10-8-6-5-3-2-1 format.
