An inquest into the death of Olympic bronze medal-winning boxer Darren Sutherland was opened and adjourned today.

An inquest into the death of Olympic bronze medal-winning boxer Darren Sutherland was opened and adjourned today.

The 27-year-old boxer, from Navan in Co Meath, tipped as a possible future professional world champion, was found hanged at his flat in Bromley, south London, by his promoter and friend Frank Maloney on Monday.
