Ferrari await ruling

Ferrari will know today whether they have been successful in acquiring an injunction against the FIA and their decision to introduce a budget cap into Formula One from next season.

Motor sport's world governing body recently imposed a £40m (€45.5m) figure, but amidst fears it will promote a two-tier championship, there has been widespread opposition from the current teams.

That prompted Ferrari to seek an injunction that was today heard for an hour at the Tribunal de Grande Justice in Paris.

FIA president Max Mosley has already confirmed his organisation will appeal if the verdict, due to be announced at 1pm, goes against them.
