Lewis Hamilton declared himself happy with the pace of McLaren’s 2009 challenger after getting behind the wheel of a Formula One car for the first time since claiming the world title in November.

Lewis Hamilton declared himself happy with the pace of McLaren’s 2009 challenger after getting behind the wheel of a Formula One car for the first time since claiming the world title in November.

The 24-year-old completed 81 laps of the Portimao circuit at the wheel of the MP4-24 today, finishing third-fastest overall having earlier been delayed with a minor engine problem.
