Co Down pensioner John MaGowan has become the oldest player ever to win a match at the World Darts Championship.

The 67-year-old beat 22nd seed Chris Mason 3-0 last night at Alexandra Palace in London.

He will now go on to face Dennis Priestley in the second round.
