Reigning Irish featherweight champion David Oliver Joyce will miss tonight's Open Senior Competition final with Carl Frampton because of an illness.

Reigning Irish featherweight champion David Oliver Joyce will miss tonight's Open Senior Competition final with Carl Frampton because of an illness.

Joyce, a four-time Irish senior champion from the St Michael's Athy club, had been due to face Frampton - a silver medal winner from the 2007 EU Championships - but has had to withdraw after picking up the flu.
