Northern Ireland’s First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness tonight praised the success of Derry sprinter Jason Smyth who claimed a gold medal for Ireland at the Paralympics.

Smyth even broke his own world record by finishing the 100 metres today in 10.62 seconds.
