O'Sullivan out to avoid upset

Ronnie O’Sullivan resumes his bid for a third world title today determined to avoid joining former champions Ken Doherty and Graeme Dott in making early exits from the Crucible.

While Dott’s 10-7 defeat to Joe Perry was no great shock given the Scot’s struggles on and off the table, Doherty was surprisingly hammered 10-5 by Chinese debutant Liang Wenbo.
