Doherty and Judge crash out of Welsh Open

Ken Doherty and fellow Dubliner Michael Judge are both out of the Welsh Open after losing their third-round ties yesterday.

Doherty was defeated 5-2 by Masters champion Mark Selby, while Judge lost by the same score to Stephen Lee.

Elsewhere, John Higgins thrashed Ding Junhui 5-1 and Shaun Murphy beat Mark Williams 5-2, while there were also wins for Ali Carter, Stephen Hendry, Joe Perry and Ronnie O'Sullivan.
