Sheehan through to boxing quarter-finals in Serbia

Ireland's Con Sheehan is through to the heavyweight quarter-finals at the European Junior Boxing Championships in Serbia.

Sheehan stopped Turkey's Dergi Gookkaya in the third round of their bout last night.

Elsewhere, bantamweight Marc McCullagh won his opening-round fight against Turkey's Hergi Ucuncu, but lightweight Anthony Cacace was beaten by Hans Bukram of Germany.

Welterweight Michael Collins is due in the ring against German Alan Matern today.
