Country gent look for Beckham's new hairstyle

David Beckham revealed his latest haircut when he arrived at a London awards ceremony dressed like a English country gentleman.

The footballer is known for frequently changing his hairstyle and has previously shocked fans by shaving off his floppy blond locks, growing a ponytail, having a mohawk cut and wearing African-style braids.

His latest look is more conservative – a functional short back and sides with a bit of length left on top.

He revealed the latest cut last night when he arrived at the Sport Industry Awards 2007 at Old Billingsgate in east London, wearing a black tuxedo and open-necked white shirt with a black cravat.

His wife Victoria Beckham, dressed in a short black dress and heels, accompanied him to the annual event which celebrates commercial achievement in UK sport.

Beckham’s hair has always been watched closely by followers of fashion.

His new styles have been copied around the globe, among fashionistas and schoolboys alike.
