Max Mosley, president of motorsport's world governing body the FIA, has been awarded the Legion d'Honneur by the French government.

Mosley, a fluent French speaker whose office is based in Paris, was presented with the prestigious award by foreign minister Philippe Douste-Blazy and sports minister Jean-Francois Lamour.
