Ireland will be represented by five boxers at the XIII World Senior Boxing Championships that will be staged in 11 Olympic Weight Classes (48 kgs - + 91 kgs) in Mianyang City, China, beginning today.

Ireland will be represented by five boxers at the XIII World Senior Boxing Championships that will be staged in 11 Olympic Weight Classes (48 kgs - + 91 kgs) in Mianyang City, China, beginning today.

The draw will take place tomorrow, followed by the opening preliminary bouts. The preliminaries will continue until Thursday, November 17.

In a tough schedule for the boxers, the Quarter-Finals take place on Friday November 18, Semi-Finals on Saturday, November 19, and the Finals on Sunday November 20.The Irish Amateur Boxing Association has selected five boxers to represent Ireland at the World Boxing Championships in China in November.

They are light-heavyweight Kenneth Egan, middleweight Daren Sutherland, welterweight Roy Sheehan, featherweight Eric Donovan and flyweight Conor Ahern.
