Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve has hit out at race stewards who penalised him for a clash with Juan Pablo Montoya at Suzuka.

Sauber driver Villeneuve and Montoya made contact at the end of the first lap of the Japanese Grand Prix, pitching the McLaren driver into a wall. Villeneuve was blamed for the crash and penalised 25 seconds.
