Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve has brushed off his embarrassing Monaco crash and set his sights on creating more positive headlines this weekend in the European Grand Prix.

Villeneuve was on for a strong points finish when he attempted to overtake Sauber team-mate Felipe Massa late in the race. His “over-optimistic” move put him in the tyre barriers and forced Massa wide, ruining both their races in a stroke.
