Ireland batted first and scored 329 for 9 off their 50 overs.

Eoin Morgan was the star for Ireland with a magnificent 117. Kevin O’Brien continued his good form with the bat and scored 70 runs.

Captain William Porterfield and vice captain Simon Wells chipped in with 31 and 33 respectively.

In reply Uganda were always behind the run rate and were eventually all out for 206.

Ireland’s spinners were the pick of the bowlers with Gary Kidd taking two wickets for just 17 off his 10 overs and Greg Thompson two for 22 of his 10.

Boyd Rankin also took two wickets for 43.
