Carroll withdraws from NY marathon

Ireland’s top distance runner Mark Carroll has withdrawn through injury from the New York City Marathon on November 2.

The 31-year-old, who finished sixth and ran two hours 10 minutes 54 seconds on his debut over the distance last year in New York, is recovering from a hip injury.
