Raikkonen takes the lead
Raikkonen has taken the lead at the start of lap 31 due to da Matta pitting, albeit with a good stop of 6.8 seconds.
It allowed Barrichello to move into second, followed by Juan Pablo Montoya in the second Williams, Panis and then Trulli.
In an incident-filled race, the Jaguars of Mark Webber and Antonio Pizzonia were having their own scrap in ninth and 10th, even touching wheels at one point.
Michael Schumacher’s frustration at being stuck in the wrong half of the field then showed on lap 25 as he ran wide at Priory, allowing Button to overtake, although the five-times world champion soon regained the place to take 12th at that stage.
Coulthard, getting stuck behind a slowing Panis as the race progressed, then pitted for a second time at the end of lap 29 with the hope of getting a march on the Frenchman.
