Klitschko's promoter threatens to sue Lewis

Vitali Klitschko's promoter has threatened to sue Lennox Lewis if the heavyweight champion takes on Mike Tyson next instead of his own fighter.

Vitali Klitschko's promoter has threatened to sue Lennox Lewis if the heavyweight champion takes on Mike Tyson next instead of his own fighter.

Klaus-Peter Kohl is in New York to salvage Klitschko's fight against Lewis.

On Friday Lewis' lawyer Judd Burnstein said the champion would prefer to fight Tyson in June.

Tyson is to take on Clifford Etienne on February 22 in Memphis.

Rainer Koppke, a spokesman for Klitschko's promotion company, Universum Boxing, said: "Our position is clear, either Lewis honours the contract to fight Vitali Klitschko or there are only two possibilities - we will seek millions in court or he will be stripped of his WBC title.''
