Masuoka retains Dakar title

Japan’s Hiroshi Masuoka retained his Dakar Rally title after battling through the final stage in Egypt today.

Masuoka completed the gruelling 17-stage, 8,552 kilometre event in a time of 49 hours, eight minutes and 52 seconds.
