Doherty to meet Henry in UK semi-final

Ken Doherty will meet Drew Henry in the UK Championships semi-finals. The Dublin man was a 9-6 winner over John Higgins in York last night, while Henry enjoyed a similar win over defending champions Ronnie O'Sullivan.

The 1997 world champion is looking forward to the semi final. "Obviously Ronnie would have been harder but I am certainly not going to disrespect Drew because he deserves to be there. He's played very very well and he has won these great matches so I will be treating him with the same respect as I would Ronnie O'Sullivan."
