Belfast to host indoor championships
The Irish Indoor Athletics Championships will for the first time take place in Belfast on February 15-16 at the Odyssey Arena.
Athletes from the North and Irish based clubs will contest the two days action.
Competitors from Ireland will be bidding to gain selection for the following month’s World Championships being staged in Birmingham.
The announcement marks the first time that the Indoor Championships have been held outside Nenagh since 1992.
Currently being used for the Belfast Giants Ice Hockey team, the indoor track at the Odyssey Arena, will take four days to construct.
