Jordan puts breaks on rally
Eddie Jordan has warned that the World Rally Championship should beware it does not follow the same road as Formula One in the wake of Peugeot’s dominance this season.
The Jordan team boss, who visited last weekend’s San Remo Rally, claimed that Peugeot’s strength could have the same negative effect on popularity as Ferrari’s vice-like grip on F1.
“Formula One is going through a difficult period with the dominance of Ferrari,” said Jordan.
“I think rallying has to careful. I’m not saying that as something against Peugeot – they have done a very good job – but the sport doesn’t want to go down the same route as F1.”
