Baxter, Lowe and Lloyd progress
Ronnie Baxter, John Lowe and Colin Lloyd have all progressed to the quarter-finals of the Stan James World Darts Championship.
First up to the oche at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool was Baxter who surged into the last eight with a 13-7 triumph over Jamie Harvey.
In the afternoon’s second match, veteran Lowe came through a nail-biting encounter with Denis Ovens, who proved a difficult opponent.
Lloyd then banked a 13-5 win over the out-of-sorts Roland Scholten.
The world number eight ran out a convincing winner after sharing the opening two legs, netting four legs on the bounce to establish an advantage he never relinquished.
