Turkey book semi-final place

Turkey reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in their history as Ilhan Mansiz scored four minutes into golden goal extra time to secure a 1-0 win over Senegal.

The substitute striker, on in place of national hero Hakan Sukur who suffered a nightmare game, popped up at the near post to meet Umit Davala's cross and turn the ball across goalkeeper Tony Sylva and into the net.
