Swedish stars given final warning

Sweden stars Fredrik Ljungberg and Olof Mellberg will be sent home from the World Cup if there is any repeat of their training ground bust up, says the team’s ‘psychological advisor’ Johan Plate.

The pair came to blows during training on Thursday and, although they shook hands afterwards, Plate revealed both have been given a final warning.

He also revealed Sweden have prepared psychologically to deal with certain situations during the tournament.

"This is something we call mental preparation and the aim is to be ready for any eventuality.

"All the players' energy should be focused on the football," he added. "The players know what is acceptable and what is not."
