Nesbitt back in the lead

A puncture on S.S. 13, Lough Allua, near Inchigeelagh close to the Cork/Kerry border, has brought a change to the top of the leader board in the Killarney based Rally of the Lakes, the second round of the Toshiba Computers Irish Tarmac Championship.

Derek McGarrity (Subaru WRC), who entered the stage with a 45 second lead over Nesbitt, punctured his Subaru and was forced to stop and change the wheel. That cost him almost three and a half minutes as Nesbitt, who led from yesterday’s third stage until a driveshaft problem on stage seven, regained the lead.
