Tyson-Lewis fight still on course for June 8
The company which handles Mike Tyson’s business affairs has said his title fight with world champion Lennox Lewis is still on course for June 8 in Washington.
The Sport Entertainment and Media Group said it is still in talks with Tyson with a view to rescheduling the bout.
Original plans for an April 6 fight in Las Vegas collapsed after Tyson and Lewis engaged in a brawl at a press conference ahead of the meeting.
That brawl prompted the Nevada State Athletic Commission to turn down a licence application from Tyson, but sporting authorities in Washington agreed to grant him permission to fight because of the economic benefits of the much-anticipated clash.
