Mike Tyson was refused his second last chance by the Nevada State Athletic Commission tonight, and Las Vegas will not stage a Mike Tyson versus Lennox Lewis superfight.

Mike Tyson has been refused his second last chance by the Nevada State Athletic Commissiont, and Las Vegas will not stage a Mike Tyson versus Lennox Lewis superfight.

The five voting members of the Commission decided by a 4-1 majority not to grant Tyson’s application for a licence which could shatter the projected April 6 bout.

Amid confusing scenes in Las Vegas, two commissioners voted against granting Tyson a licence.

Tyson’s lawyer Bob Fiss then requested a motion for Tyson to be able to withdraw his licence, which was not seconded.

Another motion was then passed 4-1 in favour of rejection, with only Commission chairman Luther Mack voting against.
