Snooker: Doherty trails hunter
Ken Doherty is trailing Paul Hunter by five frames to three in the final of the Regal Welsh Open after he was fortunate to claim the final frame of the first session this afternoon.
Doherty overcame Stephen Hendry in the semi-final to clinch his place in the final yesterday but he will have it all to do in this afternoon’s final session which starts at 7.30pm.
Hunter dominated the session, despite Doherty claiming in the opening frame.
The Englishman claimed his highest-ever career break and the highest of the tournament so far with an excellent 141 to leave himself in pole position going into this evening.
