Paul Hunter has beaten Ireland's Ken Doherty in the final of the Welsh Regal Open in Cardiff.

Ken Doherty is trailing Paul Hunter by five frames to three in the final of the Regal Welsh Open after he was fortunate to claim the final frame of the first session this afternoon.

Second round play resumes today in the Embassy Snooker World Championships in Sheffield today.
